NF4 Ultra-D> DFI site unreachable... lookin for marvel nic driver!

very strange

 

i allways thought the driver for the marvel ethernet was inside the nforce drivers

 

today i wanted to start using the marvel controller next to the nvidia controller

 

so i enable it in bios, go look in windows, and windows cant find a driver (also not on the internet)

 

so uninstall nforce drivers, reinstall em

 

still no driver found for the marvel controller

 

so i try to go to the dfi website, it works for a very short while (allthough extremely slow allready), but before i could find the driver, the damn site starts timing out (all 404 errors)

 

damn dfi, get a .in decent webhost....

 

can anyone plz tell me where i can find the latest drivers for that marvel controller?

If you will download the driver set v6.37, that file encludes all sound, nic, chipset drivers in one package. I have been told that these drivers are the best out.

The board features 2 network cards.

One made by nvidia and inside the chipset.

 

One made by Marvell and not part of the chipset + nothing to do with nvidia.

So why would it be part of the nvidia chipset drivers?

I am using the nF3 U D board and the NIC drivers are encuded in that set. I am glad you corrected me, for if the Marvel NIC is what he is needing. You gave him the info where he can get the drivers for that component.

Actually, Marvell posted two drivers.

I tried either one and they both work for Windows XP Pro SP2.

Does anyone know the differences between these two drivers? Just wondering if one is newer versus the other and if so, which?

Hmm... didn't know that, I'm not at home now so I can't check it out but do you know which one you can turn off in the bios? If I remember right there is only one choice to disable.

Hello,

 

Both can be disabled in the BIOS.

 

Go to GENIE settings (then look at the bottom of the page)

 

MAC LAN = Auto/Disabled (this is for the nvidia NIC, disable turns it off)

 

Marvell Giga LAN = Enabled/Disabled (this is for the Marvell NIC)
