  1. i dont think u can use the PCI-e 4x for ur VGA (at least ive never known anybody that has). not only does a sound card take some of the stress of ur CPU, it also creats better sound. MP3's sound better, movies sound better, ect.
  2. Hello all, ive been having some reboot issues with my system lately. it only happens while I'm surfing the net. ive thought of every option but cant figure it out. thanks for any advice. Joe
  3. cool thanks for the info, i guess ill order the EU one being that it is active PFC
  4. Hello, im looking into getting a new power supply and ive decided on the Ocz powersteam 600. my question is whats the diffrence between the OCZ600ADJ and the OCZ600ADJ EU. from what ive read i think the EU supports 220 and 110 but do they both have the Two PCI-E cables. thanks in advance for any help. Joe
  5. That is an awsome case, im going to be getting it to replace the case i have now when i get a bigger desk. its too tall for the desk i have now.
  6. i switched the fan so now its blowing down and it drops the temp another 5 degrees, i think this is how its going to stay. thanks for the advice THunDA
  7. Hello all. i have just installed a thermalright XP-90 on my motherboard and was wondering what the best direction to have the fan blowing. right now i have it blowing away from the XP-90 and it drops my temps about 8 degrees. would it be better to have it blow on the xp-90 or is it better the way i have it. thanks for any advice.
  8. Finding this thread is like having christmas in june. I have always used MBM5 with all my other mobo's until my DFI NF4 for obvious reasons (MBM5 didnt support it ) but now it is alive again. thanks and good job.
  9. I actually stumbled on this thread in guru 3d (wsa sent here by a link for the vcore temp chart, yes im lazy). Great thread, never really tried overclocking a 64 until now, had intel. It answered a lot of questions i was having. Its very detailed which helps a lot, nice job and thanks.
  10. I have the same problem, my chipset temp is about 50 C idle, i know this is too high but no matter what i do i cant get it to drop, i have 5 case fans in my case with one blowing directly on the chipset fan, it didnt really do much. i have a 120mm in front, a 120mm in back an 80mm on top and 2 92mm on side. i use all sata hard drives and rounded ide cables for my two optical drives. my power supply has mod. cabling and everything i nicely tucked away, and still the chipset temp is 50 C idle. all other temps are fine. my cpu never goes above 40 C while under full load. Liquid cooling it is not and option being that the video card is right over it. I dont know what else to do but replace the fan with a diffrent heat sink like an Alpha PEP66T.
  11. hey aa, How did you convert the txt (if they sent you txt) to exe. i called them and they sent me the updated firmware but it was in txt formate. thanks
  12. thanks for all the help guy/gals, i think i found the problem. i uped the volts on my ram from 2.6 to 2.8 and now all the stress test programs are working. i have not had any randam reboots yet but i just uped the volts 2 hours ago. hopefully this does the trick, im not trying to spend another 100+ on a new PSU.
