    And isn't a "situation-based fact" known as a result? A reproducable result should be the basis of all knowledge and information worthy of being passed on. Theory and opinion are useful for exploring new areas, but what you can actually accomplish is what matters.

    I am actually thinking of building my own water cooling system, also based on 1/2inch tubing.

    I as going to use peltiers to cool down the water before it enters the water block. Puting temperature sensors in the tubes themselves would be great. If you find a solution, please let me know.

    The whole "cooling the water down with a few peltier coolers" idea sounds really cool and seems like it would work, but in reality, the benefits are limited considering the power and equipment needed to accomplish such a feat. Trying this in a 1/2" system would prove to be a pretty daunting task. Check out the overclockers.com extreme cooling forums for more advice on this topic.

     

    Also, I've seen a lot of people worrying about water pressure, in their systems... Having an open ended fill tube or reservoir is an easy answer to this. For the pumps being used in a 'typical' watercooled system, the pressure shouldn't be much of a concern. As long as you think through what you are doing, watercooling is a pretty simple undertaking. :D
