I found this interesting report (see page 23), looks like the password was changed within 24 hours after the government took possession of the device. Many comments both for and against Apple doing this. Problem: Apple specifically built the encryption to prevent them from having the keys to do what is requested. To comply with the order would require Apple engineers to attempt to hack the phone just the same as the FBI is currently doing. If, as has been alleged, Apple has some back door to the encryption on iPhones and that came to light, it would destroy their mobile device business. The suggestions that Apple could just update iOS to turn off encryption or turn off auto-destruct after nn failed password attempts won't work either. One must enter one's password in order to install an iOS update.

Nice review Frank. I have a question about issues using XMP profile, the modules reviewed would not post at stock or overclocked speeds, until you adjusted the TRFC to 410 from the XMP set 350. And I noticed your running BIOS 1202 2015/11/10, would running the newer BIOS 1402 2016/01/19 with updated microcode have any effect on XMP compatibility. I'm currently using BIOS 1202, and also having issues trying to run XMP profile for 2X8GB 3200 modules.

Nvidia has at least proven that GeForce Now has potential. Provided you meet the system requirements, the quality of the streaming is good enough to stand in for native PC play when that's not an option. Considering how bad streaming games used to be, that's a remarkable achievement on a technical level. But with a limited game selection, no multiplayer, no PC support, and no ties to the games you already own,.. it makes me wonder how useful the service is on a practical level, and do they have a discernible target audience.

The FBI this week obtained a court order to force Apple to help it break into an iPhone belonging to one of the two San Bernardino shooters. Apple is challenging the order, arguing that being forced to build a "backdoor" will make its users less safe. How do you feel,.. should Apple voluntarily comply. ? Personally I agree with Apple CEO Tim Cook "that this demand would undermine the vary freedoms and liberty our government is meant to protect."
