ir_cow Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 So I bought a Arris SB6190 Modem because the one from Charter was garbage. It's all setup and works great but I want to get into the modem and check the signal. The manual says 192.168.100.1 but it does not work. Does anyone know another reason why I cannot ping that address? I've tried all the major ones listed below. None ping back or work in the browser so I'm at a loss. Now i'm trying to ping every ip from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.255.255.....it's going to take awhile. 192.168.0.1 192.168.100.1 192.168.1.100 10.0.0.1192.168.0.1192.168.1.11192.168.1.254192.168.2.
scr4wl Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Are you trying to find the right ip? You can use arp-scan or similar tool to scan your network for the modem ip address.
ir_cow Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 I found the problem after some digging. Looks like it is 192.168.100.1 but Charter disabled the GUI and you can only get to it while it's booting . I tested this out and it's true. Hopefully if I ever get off charter the factory reset button still works. Thanks for the quick response though!
