A new record has been set in the 3DMark Fire Mark Extreme benchmark by K|ngp|n, who became the first person to break the 40,000 point mark. In order to hit the mark, four GeForce Titan X cards were overclocked to 2200MHz with an Intel Core i7-6950X running at 5227MHz. Other components of note were an EVGA X99 FTW K motherboard, 32GB G.Skill DDR4, and an EVGA SuperNova NEX 1600W PSU. The use of a custom liquid nitrogen cooling setup was required to keep everything running while pushed so far above the stock speeds.
