Networking question

Recommended Posts

I have this router : Asus RT-AC68U which is approximately a year old. I have a fiber connection for ISP. Every two days or so I have to reboot the modem to get back to usual speeds what I mean : sometimes pages don't open as if internet is not found, has to buffer a video online while I am playing BF4..

So is it a router issue or an ISP issue? Thank you

I was reading last year when I was looking for a new router that AC68 isn't so good because of overheating and random rebooting. Maybe that the issue? The solution I found was people flash the firmware with the modded one and stuck a fan on the side of it. Not sure if that is the same problem as that was over a year ago, asus since than patched the firmware which solved some of the problems.

I had a netgear router which went down daily before I got my Asus AC1900. I just got use to resetting it that it no longer phased me.
