SpikeSoprano Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 +3 on that, once you install them in the proper slots they will be dual channel and as long as both sticks are the same they will work fine.
BoKi85 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Well, that's what I just did. I've just returned from the store, I bought separately 2 sticks of 8gb ddr3 1866 mhz kingston hyperx savage, works fine. Price was nice too, only 90 $ for both, so I'm pretty satisfied with how things went. Thank you guys for your advices and opinions, much appreciated. Till the next time, have a good day. IVIYTH0S Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 (edited) Memory is Memory is Memory, the extra you spend on "faster" memory will not realistically benefit you a noticeable amount. Just stick with 1600MHz CL9 or faster IF you can find them at the same price but if you're mixing with your current sticks, just stick with 1600MHz. If you're replacing your current sticks you COULD get "faster" but I wouldn't bother if it was more than $5 difference in price. Money'd be better spent elsewhere Wish I caught ya sooner, here's a 2x4GB kit of ADATA for $20 after MIR Edited September 3, 2015 by IVIYTH0S
