Waco Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 A full tower with a low profile heatsink? Odd, but okay. For that kind of goal I'd be looking at AIO water coolers. Corsair, Thermaltake, etc all have decent 240mm kits for reasonable prices.
slick2500 Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Never going to happen with a low profile cooler. High end air or water.
SpikeSoprano Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 I don't think that cpu will reach 5ghz on any type of cooler, you'd have to up the voltage too much to get there.
Boinker Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 I doublt that can be done with a LP cooler. But to entertain the idea I would go with water cooling. not sure if you could get all the way up there but for an attempt I would use watercooling to see how far it can be pushed. These are the two options I would look at, I would lean towards this cooler and put it in the top IF you can deal with self contained. you will loose your 5 1/4 bays but for the goal you have placed that is what must be done to get the performance you want from a self contained unit.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835106241&cm_re=thermaltake_water-_-35-106-241-_-Product That or for better results this kit should do the trick. Go with the mid or highest grade fans and burn on. you will have to relocate the hard drives and maybe get creative but if it can be done this kit should carry you too it. I however do not recommend there tubing they provide. Get some to fit your fittings. you select them in the cart upon adding it to the cart. http://www.performance-pcs.com/hot-xspc-raystorm-d5-photon-rx480-v3-watercooling-kit.html And if the HDD's need a home here you go. http://www.mountainmods.com/120mm-hard-drive-rack-black-anodized-p-415.html my 2 cents and then some.
