RealNeil Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Seems like a good little board. I bought the Pentium 20-Year chip in a combo deal, just when it came out. It came with an MSI Z97-U3 Plus motherboard. (both for $99.00 shipped) I ended up selling the Pentium to my neighbor and the board is on the shelf. BluePanda Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Its not a bad starter system. I was a bit disappointed the one touch OC didn't work out. But like I said, I do have bad luck when it comes to a lucky chip. Unless we talk about my old Phenom II x3
dr_bowtie Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 ECS has really stepped up their game in the last quite a few years. They were more of a Vanilla board for a long time with very minimal options but since the advent of the Black Series they've really shined. Both the AMD and Intel Black boards I've had have been phenomenal! The Monster-In-Law is still running my old server set-up that was a Antec p180 micro with a ECS Black Series AMD board with a Phenom 965BE. ccokeman Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 It took a while but yes they have. I built my aunt a system a few years back with an ECS Golden edition board in it and its still going strong!
