It's pretty damn obvious he understands that...

I assume you are. Wait, there is no assuming there. You act like you own a core i7 and every other piece of hardware. Thats the difference between you and me. I do. So lets agree on that.

It doesn't matter what you own, if you talk down to people they will not respect you or your opinion. I recommend you keep any comments like this one to yourself. Besides, Waco does own a core i7...check his sig.

You assume I am what?

You pop into threads and post some condescending remark without even understanding what you're responding to. If you think that's okay...I don't know what to tell you.

Microcenter has the 2500k for $170 and the 3570K for $190: http://www.microcent...6995+4294932574

I wish I had a store closer than two hours away, I'd go tomorrow!

I feel your pain, we have the same issue, 2 hour drive to Microcenter. This means that for a single part I suusally have to add another $25 or so for gas and then of course add drinks and food for the 4 hour round trip. I do however schedule trips there when I know I am going after a bucnh of parts at once and want them now, not in a few days from NewEgg.

For the price difference the 2500K still wins, it is simply an amazing chip. Intel should be proud, of course also frustrated because they set the bar so high even they are having trouble reaching it now.

As for all the CHILDREN we seem to have in this thread, STFU! If you have an opinion then voice it if it is relavent to the conversation. As for your private little 3rd grade school yard sniping please take that into private chat so the adults can talk. Good god guys this is a discussion about Intels chips not about your need to prove yours hang lower than everyone elses.

...and this just proves who the immature one is. If you actually cared about this forum, you would drop the issue. Defending yourself only puts you in a worse situation. Just let it go.

First of all I never insulted the OP. I stated 1366 and 115 was different and he thanked me. You had to put your smart butt comment in. Go away.

If they have a 3570k for under $200, it's worth the extra money. if not, there's not really enough of a performance difference to worry about it. $190 for a 2500k is still a very good deal.

well i have been comparing the two and i understand that the 3570k has better stock clocks (by .1 Ghz), integrated memory, uses less power, and some other minor differences... but the big thing that i have noticed is that the 2500k is sandy bridge while the 3570k is not whats the difference between the two i have never really quite understood it?? and i know sandy bridge tech is newer so how does that change the comparison of the two cpu's?
