RA1D Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Nice review, Scavenger. It wasn't long ago when 9800GTX's were around $300 dollars. So many new graphics cards in so little time.

Thanks, RA1D! My buddy bought a 9800GTX several months ago for $275 and it died on him in the first week.
IVIYTH0S Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 this confirms my love for the 4850 as the ultimate budget videocard. Good Review though!

Rodneyho Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 I myself am the ultimate fan of the ultra cheap $200 9800GX2 but with ATI's hidden performance in the stream procs about to be unleashed via drivers for all 4xxx cards we will see where things are. In response Nvidia is going to slash prices again so something tells me ATI had a trick up their sleeve for customer loyalty. Although I have the Nvida's I can't wait to see some benchs with these unlocked steams!

I'm excited now (you aren't just leading me on now are you) I never heard of such wonderful news. and yeah back on the subject of the 9 series, other than the 9800GX2. I honestly can say (this review supports it), that the 9 series has been completely put to rest both by price AND performance (and unless we are talking folding but that's unfair <_< )

There has been a fair bit of info about this on the front page: http://www.overclockersclub.com/news/23427/ http://www.overclockersclub.com/news/23422/ http://www.overclockersclub.com/news/23419/
