kennethk Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Man, I really want one of these, not sure if anyone here has reviewed it yet but it'd be a perfect item to get on the review list. Thing looks simply awesome. http://www.amazon.com/ZM-VE300-B-2-5-SATA-External-Enclosure/dp/B007B5Y4BI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393457620&sr=8-1&keywords=zalman+ve300 I cant really find what it's max capacity is or maybe I'm simply not looking hard enough. Waco Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 What's wrong with Daemon Tools?
DanTheGamer11 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) What's wrong with Daemon Tools? Doesn't that need to be installed on an OS drive? This would help me right now, I want to install W8.1 on a new HDD but no DVDs or empty thumb sticks :'( Edited February 27, 2014 by DanTheGamer11

capthowdy575 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 nice find I just watch a review on this on youtube and I could see many uses for it. kennethk Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I just have a stash of thumb drives for that. It's always easy to say why not just do that and this however flashdrive are easily breakable and can only hold so much storage until you'll be paying big bucks. The benefits of this is being able to just drag and drop any iso and have the ability to be able to load it on boot. You can stick with your way and I'll just stick with a newer unique way. Oh and it's usb 3 so you'd get the speed and the ease of loading operating systems without having to prepare it in any way or burning it to a disc. It's also very useful to those who do not use dvd drives on their pcs.
cchalogamer Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I just bought one of these, I figured that while some of the reviews don't inspire confidence in the long term quality I see a VERY VERY VERY handy use for the to easily keep ISO images of all the various windows/Linux/Utilities that I use for my PC repair work on and speed up my time to update them. I can use YUMI to do something similar with a regular external hard drive but it's a total pain sometimes and it just refuses to play nice with some ISOs. Should be here Tuesday for me to pop a HDD in and give it a try
cchalogamer Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Right, so got my drive enclosure today, pulled a 500GB WD Blue out of the "HDD Drawer" and I have to say this thing works great.
