Erosannin Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I see some nice numbers on internet but I am never able to reach those numbers (especially on the memory because as soon as I oc the memory, I start seeing artifacts right away even for 10-20-30MHz). The ASICS of Both my 770 are 88% and 97% quality which is pretty good and should overclock like gods. I need a little help guys :S
ccokeman Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 What have you done to OC the memory and at what speed is it currently running at?
Hyper Threaded Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 You may want to replace your stock thermal paste, if you feel confident enough. This will lower your temperature a few degrees and help you get a better overclock. Make sure you've got enough fans in your case, as well. ccokeman Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 His core temps are not affecting his memory OC.
Erosannin Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 My Core temps never reach above 55 degrees. The Memory is clocked stock at 7GHz and even adding 10 MHz gives me Artifacts as well as going above 63MHz on the core.
wevsspot Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Have you tried overclocking the memory of each card individually? i.e. not in SLi If so, does the memory on one card overclock better than the other? On my GTX 670 cards, one card has Hynix memory and the other card has Samsung memory. The Hynix memory overclocks much better than the Samsung memory. Erosannin Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 They both have the same Samsung GDDR5. And just 10MHz will make Artifacts pop in 3DMark
ccokeman Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 On reference 770's I have been able to hit 1900Mhz ( 7600Mhz) pretty regularly. What about artifacts in games? Can you get the model number of the memory IC's to see where they are rated? ASIC quality is only going to give you an indication of core OC probability. Bosco Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I am guessing you card is overclocked already correct?
Erosannin Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Yes the card is OCed from factory but I've read many reviews that are able to OC those card past that point. And for ccokeman question, I don't see artifact in-games but the NVidia drivers crash almost immediately.
