  1. I recently purchased what you guys refer to as "an alienware case" lol thats where I saw it first. The basic style comes in several different variations, all made by Antec. The one I have is the Antec 1040 Soho file server.
  2. I have to agree, I was running about 40 with the AMD sink/fan that came with my proc, the volcano7+ keeps me at a frosty 31ish C
  3. problem solved. thanks a million....I put the memory voltage or whatever on 2.7 instead of auto (choices were 2.6-2.9_ and put hte fsb on 140...runs great, no problems. Athlon 1800+ at 1.616
  4. Since I don't want to go through the risky process of unlocking my XP that I've read about, I want to do the fsb. Do I need to increase the memory voltage/clock when I increase the fsb?
  5. bah I'll figure it out eventually I got my geforce4 4400 at 310/625 though
  6. I'm just trying 140 for starters, but I just get errors when loading windows... I was wondering about the Spectrum Spread disabled on my bios? Also all those others set to auto?
  7. Oh and my bios reads as follows: Frequency/Voltage Control Spread Spectrum Disabled CPU FSB Clock 133 CPU Ratio Auto CPU Vcore Auto DDR Voltage Auto AGP Voltage Auto
  8. ??? I have an AMD 1800+ on a MSI KT333 Ultra ARU board, and I'm having a little trouble overclocking. I have more than adequate cooling (without oc it runs at 33c) The bios settings are extremly straight forward, as I bought the board for the purpose of overclocking. But whenever I turn the FSB speed up even a bit, say to 140, and try to run, I crash before windows even loads, claiming registry problems. Once it even loaded a backup version of the registry, throwing me back to previous drivers ect. Do I need to change the voltage from 1.73? Any ideas? Thanks
