  1. Thats a pretty sweet setup If i took a shot from the side of my case though you could see that my case is actually pretty wide open on the inside. I couldn't take a good angle picture though because I have a small desk with 2 19" LCDs on it. I've been keeping my eye on craigslist for a new desk and when I find one, this hunk of crap is GONE
  2. Yep, I saw yours and it gave me the courage to buy this one (I heard a lot of people saying these wouldn't fit well). I just finished closing my case up after connecting all my front panel connectors and cursing like a sailor as a result. The AS5 hasn't cured yet but I'm looking at a 10C drop right now
  3. NM, got it. The heatsink popped off and nearly gave me a heart attack but the chipset is fine. Should have trusted my insticts.
  4. Hey guys, I'm attempting to install one of these great Thermalright HR-05-SLIs on my expert and I've run into a bit of a problem. I'm using Angry's nf4 chipset fan removal guide but I think he left out tips on how to actually remove the heatsink from the chipset. I've got the pins through the board and the fan unplugged but the heatsink seems stuck on there pretty good and I'm deathly afraid of breaking my chipset. I'm assuming that twisting is a nono, so how should I remove this thing? Is there something I have overlooked. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I thought this was going to be a quick mod :[
  5. That's Kelly Brook, shes an English model (pretty famous apparently). I believe I got the original photo off of superiorpics.com and then cropped it to my resolution. That entire photoshoot that I got it from is freakin' mindblowing. If you happen to use 2560x1024 resolution, let me know and I can send you the wallpaper
  6. Oh, I just remembered that I haven't updated since I got my second monitor. I realized that Hyundai wasn't selling my L90D+ anymore so I begrudgingly took a chance on a Hanns-G 5ms 19" on newegg. Its actually noticeably more vivid than my Hyundai. The only bummer is that the height isn't adjustible which is why its sitting on the book. I know, so elegant!
  7. I used to use a duct before I got water cooling. Its actually pretty effective, but I would suggest that you try to see if there is a way to route it to the front of the case or better yet the floor. I noticed some pretty significant drops with the duct sucking in air from the front as opposed to the top (some sort of thermodynamic thing I assume). Also another thing that helped me out was that I put a 92mm fan on both ends of the duct feeding into my stock fan. I know it sounds silly but I was noticing that the stock fan wasn't pulling hard enough to get the air to the CPU from the other end of the duck quickly. Just my 2 cents.
  8. Yes. Here in America we have decided that instead of cleaning/purifying our tap water to drinkable standards, we'd rather buy our water in individual bottles all the time.
  9. Unfortunately, the TV is too far away to just do 1 cable. It doesn't make sense that the cable length would be the issue though because the audio is travelling on the same RCA composite cable, but instead of going into my video card its going to a an adapter into my line in port and the audio synch up perfectly with the tv
  10. Ah. Yeah it isn't like a breakout box or anything. I'm not sure what its called but its just a little part that lets you connect 2 cables into 1 long one. The delay isn't so much to be not worth it, its just sort of distracting. What I'd really like to fix though is the right channel imbalance, its really irritating and I have no idea what causes it.
  11. Alright so I took it upon myself a few days ago to buy some cables so I could watch tv on my computer. The intent is that I can be productive but still watch tv (lol, not sure how much truth there is to that). Anywho, heres the setup. I have a composite video line (RCA) running from the 2nd output on my TIVO to my computer. Inbetween I have a pass through part so I could connect 2 cables so it could reach. The yellow video plug goes to the orange composite in plug on my VIVO cord, which then goes into my video card. The red and yellow audio cables plug into an an RCA to 1/8" miniplug (I think thats what its called) adapter which plugs into the Line In port on my onboard sound. Heres the problem. The audio synchronizes perfectly with the video on the television. However, the audio is about 1/3 of a second faster than the video coming in through my video card, which is just enough to be distracting and strange. Also, for some reason, the line in audio is much stronger in the right channel than the left. I've checked all the connections and everything is firmly plugged in. Anyone got any advice? Oh and if it helps, I'm using InterVideo WINDVR to watch the video stream on my computer.
