I just got done working on a pos Compaq for a buddy of mine. Had to replace the mobo. But now I have a problem, the the cheesy case this thing is housed in does not have a standard mobo plug, the pins are all off on the connector that goes from the case to the mobo. THe one that allows you to turn it on, reset it, and also has th leads for the HDD activity light and power light. anyone know where you can buy one of them, the only other option i got is to soder them individiually to the mobo pins... something i do not want to do!

I highly recommend a reinstall, but it is not necessary. So if you got the time I would. I did reinstall and also did not experience the studdering problem that the X2 are supposed to have.

Speaking of the nForce chipset software... does anyone have to reinstall windows after installing the IDE SW driver? everytime I click yes, it corupts my windows installation, and i have to reinstall... no matter what, I have tried it on 2 different setups

I had an nVidia card start doing that to me... I had overclocked it for too long. Send it back, it will only get worse...

I ordered my Evercool VC-RE Today, I hope it helps me also. Chipset temps in Smartguard = 48-51 Celcius. Just out of curiosity guys, what is PWM IC? That is alos in smartguard showing red @ 49 Celcius.

They are TSOP, it was hard to tell under all that copper... 1Million candle power flashlights are sweet.
