Yep the G.Skills PC4000 2x1 Gig Rule the 250 board.

Get the G.Skills extreme, I got my 2 gig set last night and although I haven't had a chance to lean of them hard yet, they are sweet!!!!!!! User CPDMF has his rig running around 270 with those.

Always the AGP for stabilty, hell yeah! John

I'm a fairly new user of the 250 board and I can't say enough good things about it. As far as PCI-E goes, don't think I'll be switching anytime soon. I feel with the AGP selection it's almost like they are forcing users to go PCI-E. I did like seeing the 7800gs AGP hit the market, that was nice for us hard core AGP high end users. I just ordered some new upgrades for my 250 and saving for another 250. In other words I will not be moving to PCI-E anytime soon. Even if the AGP market dries up, I'll hit ebay! lol I'm not saying I'll never move to PCI-E, but it's gonna be a while. The 250 is just to good a board! :nod: Rock on to all AGPers out there, keep up the good fight! (fight the good fight "RUSH") John

All I have done is push the mhz up to increase the cpu speed. I had some real loose memory in there, but I just slapped in 2 512 = 1gig crucial ballistix in there 2.8v. Let the fun begin! :nod: John

Yeah your right, after a bunch of trail and error that USB headset plugged in causes sound and system lag issues. Damn the headset was expensive, but it was off a x-mas gift card :cool: not to big of a loss. John

Ok cool, it was just a thought. They do recommend a 480w with our cards but I think it's bs as well. I ran a cheapo 420 far a long time with my card and never had a prob either. Other then that, I haven't had any shuttering for freeze ups. However in another post I did today I'm am having sound cut out after using a USB headset. Still doing some research on that. John

I have the GT card and mine runs great. I do have a 500 watt PSU that pushes it nice. But I see you have a 400w PSU and the 6800's are power hungry hogs. Just a thought bro, John

Hey Gang, I do alot of gaming and I'm on TS almost as much during gaming. My keyboard, mouse are USB and I just got a USB headset which I just plugged in over the weekend. During gaming and on TS I hear the other peps fine but my in game sound just cuts out like i'm lagging badly. My ping rate stays low and someone told me my board can't handle 3 USB's plugged in. I fine this a pretty bogus excuse and highly doubt that's the problem. These boards are studs and I'm sure they can handle it. Anyone have any ideas on what's going on? Thanks, John
