  1. Are you getting any warning beeps at the boot up? Do you have the hard drive connected while trying to boot? What kind of hard drive, sata-pata? What was the system configuration before it died? I had something like this happen to me before after a power outage. My board would post and die but sometimes it would get to the Windows load screen for a second then die. I tried everything I could think of but no luck. Loaded defaults in bios with no luck, managed to reflash the bios and it still would not boot all the way up. In my case I ended up having to boot from the Windows cd-rom and reformat and reload Windows on my sata Raptor hard drive. So something got corrupted from the power outage. I tried everything you have tried and more. DFI boards can be tricky for sure.
  2. Thank's Clay, been busy with life but now I'm back to check out what I've been missin around here.
  3. Holy crap! what happened to all of my sig and toaster stuff?????? I did not think I was gone that long......
  4. I have had real good results with my XP3200+ but I am not using the LP-B. It's 100% stable at 2500Mhz and will run for days at 2600Mhz but it's not totally stable at that speed. Been some time since I've been here at the DFI forum and I'm glad to see some of the old masters who helped me get my "toaster" are still here.
  5. I can get my processor to do 2500Mhz with only 1.75Vcor. Still working on 2600Mhz prime stable. Still for being a locked desktop 3200+ 2500Mhz is great!
  6. Hey Guinnes, if you have all your other settings on "auto" then you may not have enough "voltage" to your processor and memory. Is your processor unlocked, can you change the multi???
  7. You guys talking about socket temps or diode temps??? Will this cooling patch help with a desktop processor or just a mobile???
  8. Thanks for the advice guys, got it all straight now. Had a few things mixed up on my install and after a few days more things started to go wrong. After another more careful install things are back to normal. Running about 23c at idle now so I'm happy again.
  9. Good for you linears4, sure feels good to get your first toaster and 2629Mhz is quite a good one.
  10. Hey dr_bowtie, I'm using Motherboard Monitor 5 for temps. I did not instal the IDE drivers as I have read many threads about not using them. I was just wondering if anyone knew why temps go up after the instal of the 5.10 drivers. After a fresh install of windows and before you install the 5.10 drivers the temps are cooler as seen in the above post.
  11. Wow, everybody lookin but nobody has any thoughts on this................................
  12. Hey guys, had to do a re-install of Windows on my Raptor a few days ago. After I put Windows back on I noticed that my temps were real low on MBM5. Temps were like socket-33c diode-16c chipset-22c so I thought this was great but then I loaded the Nvidia 5.10 drivers and rebooted. After reboot the temps were socket-37c diode-26c chipset-34c man what happened??? Before I had to redo the hard drive my temps were like socket-33c diode-22c chipset-21c. Everything in the bios is the same, Windows has the same drivers I was using before. Seems weird to me but then I'm still learning about the OC game.
  13. Hey CPDMF, what is the stepping and week of your 3200+? I have no problem cranking mine up to 2600Mhz @ 237fsb at about 1.85Vcore. Seems like you could do a little better than 218fsb unless you just got a bum core. Did you jump through all the hoops with the HALS and stuff? Stepping and week on my 3200+ is AQYHA-0413 and turned out to be tough enough to get me a Toaster.
  14. Wow, not sure what to say to all of that. I have to say though that it sounds to me like you got off on the wrong foot with your cpu swap. Before you try to put in a new cpu you should make sure your other components are up to the task. Download and run programs like S&M, OCCT, 3dMark01 and Prime95 to test the stability of all your components with your old core before just sticking in a new core. Even if you pass MemTest for 24 hours it does not mean you are totaly stable or that your memory is good. When I first got my 3200+ I found that I was not stable even at stock settings though it passed MemTest for 24hours. As it turns out one stick of my Mushkin 2x512 pc 3200 ram was bad. Though it passed MemTest it failed other tests quickly. I have no problem running my 3200+ with the 6/19 bios though my board came with the 7/28 bios. When I first got this board I was using a locked 2500+ OC'd to 2200Mhz and was stable enough for normal use but was not totaly stable because of the bad stick of ram mentioned above. When I decided to put in a 3200+ I was already running the 6/19 bios and I did a long cmos clear with batt out and power unplugged before putting in the 3200+. When I first booted up the lights and fans came on but it just sat there, no boot screen no nothing. Seeing this I hit the power button and did a soft off and waited a few minutes then hit the power button and it fired right up into the boot screen. At this I went right into the bios and hit defaults, saved and booted up. It posted as 3200+ no problem and came into windows without trouble. Once in windows I rebooted and got back into the bios to make some changes and set thing to the way I like it. Over the course of my OCing I have had troubles with ram, psu, cooling and corrupt bios but I will not get into all of that now. To sum it all up, I think you need to start over. Put your 1900+ back in like you are doing and test everything before you try to upgrade your cpu. Skipping steps along the way just causes headaches later. What brand is your psu, how stable are your voltages? My Infinity board seems to like the 3200+ but I don't know about the Lanparty. That being said, good luck and I will keep checking this thread and chime in if i can.
