  1. This may sound like a totally ridiculous question, but what's the benefit of overvolting the sb? Otherwise, that all looks pretty good to me.... I'm just too chicken to do it myself
  2. I downloaded the new version, and even though it says to not compare, I did  My marks before and after: E2.01 Mem read: 3909 Mem write: 1529 Mem latency: 65.0 E2.20 Mem read: 3898 Mem write: 1529 Mem latency: 65.0
  3. I had one of his 3DFire bios's on my NF7 and loved it.... I really need to flash over to one of TicTac's LPB bios's
  4. Your cpu shouldn't be hard-locked, why not drop that 11 multiplier down a bit when you increase your fsb??
  5. Mine seems to hit a wall at around 2.4ghz. Since I'm on air, throwing more volts at it just doesn't seem to be the wisest choice to see if I can go higher. All in all though, I'm pretty happy with it.
  6. I think I'm going to be holding on to my board for a good long time..... especially if I can find a better video card one of these days. Otherwise, this board/cpu combo is doing everything I need it to do, and I'm having fun with it finding out just how far I can push it.
  7. I'll have to check tonight when I get home, but I think the version of Everest I've got told me it was a LanParty B. Out of curiosity, what are your read scores Shinobi? Yesterday I ran it just for the heck of it and got a 3909, and that was after playing with some of the Alpha timings a bit at 250fsb.
  8. so I'm guessing the same would apply here with 2x512mb and one 1024mb stick? Just for the sake of discussion?
  9. I can't say that I've experienced any more problems with this board than with any of the past 2 motherboards I've had that I tweaked alot on. I think the only thing with the DFI is that the learning curve might be a bit steeper, but so what. Sayonara madmonkeymayhem
  10. I'd like to try this and just see if it helps anything, but I don't wanna re-install just to do it
  11. Thanks for the link playah... I'll compare his settings to mine and see if that helps me at all.
  12. Based on what you're stating, I might have to try one of Hellfire's versions, just to see if it'll get me stable @ 250
  13. Well, back to the proverbial drawing board it seems!!! :shake: Looks like I'm nowhere near as stable at 250 as I need to be to run that test, NOWHERE! Ran for about 20 to 23 minutes and shut the computer completely off. Oh well. Guess I'll go back down to 225 or so and just start hammering the hardware from there and build back up to 250 if I can. Thanks for the tip and the congratulations guys.... no toaster for me. Yet
  14. I've seen that mentioned a couple times- what is it?? I googled OCCT and it came back with a bunch of Occupational Safety organizations.
