Travis, what are you taking about here "active heatsinks"?

After all the horror stories of onboard sound problems with different mobos, I'm just going to buy a nice M Audio Sound Card and save myself a bunch of headaches. Maybe not money, but headaches definitely. No Creative Crap either.

My SLI-DR is enroute. From my current system below, I'm going to reuse the case, optical / hard drives, PSU, monitor, mouse, KB and OS. I'm going to put a 3500+ Winnie, and a single BFG 6800 Ultra into the SLI-DR. The question is I have is this: Would it be worth upgrading from the 3700EB to 3200VX or Gskill 4400 or 4800? I'm also going to transition to W/C using a Cascade G4 block, Maze 4 GPU 'block, DD chipset 'block (when they come out) an an Iwaki RD-20Z pump / small car radiator built into a rad box.

A bear is in the woods thinking, "If that fly drops 4 inches for a drink, and that fish jumps up to eat him, I can grab the fish and eat it." A hunter is in the woods eating a sandwich noticing what’s going on and thinking, "Hmmm... if that fly drops 4 inches, and that fish jumps to get him, and that bear pops out to get the fish I can shoot the bear." A mouse is in the woods behind the hunter thinking "If that fly drops 4 inches to get a drink, and that fish jumps to get it, and that bear runs to grab the fish, and the hunter drops his sandwich to pick up his gun to shoot the bear, I can eat the sandwich!" At the same time there is a cat just out of reach of the mouse, but notices what’s happening and thinks "Hey, if that fly drops 4 inches to get a drink, and that fish jumps to eat it, and that bear goes after the fish, with the hunter dropping his sandwich to pick up his gun, and if that mouse goes for the sandwich I have a clear shot at the mouse." Well it happens.... The fly drops 4 inches to get a drink. The fish swims through the water and eats the fly. The bear makes his move and grabs the fish in its mouth. The hunter drops his sandwich, picks up his gun and shoots the bear. The mouse makes his move for the sandwich and succeeds. The cat jumps straight for the mouse...... but misses, and land right in the stream. What’s the moral of the story? Every time a fly drops 4 inches a seafood gets wet.

I've got a DFI NF4 SLI-DR on order. I've alos got a BIOS Savior left over from my Asus A7N8X Deluxe (an RD1-PMC4 ) and want to know if I can use it with the DFI. Can anyone who already has the board tell me what exact BIOS chip it uses? Thanks.

Micro Center has the LP NF4 SLI-DR for $229.99 + $5.99 for standard shipping, tax will also be applied in some states. The ship date is 5-7 days. I ordered one and the email I received states the expected ship date is 2/22/05. The last time I ordered something that would ship within 7 days, it actually shipped 4 days later. I called MC and they said they do not know how many they will get. MC will not charge your credit card until shipment. MC also has their own credit card. Call their 1-800 number to apply.

Whoa!! Neat trick!! It'll even tell you exactly how many they have if you put in 99, unless it's a quantity limited item or unless they have MORE than 99.

Where are you seeing the amount they have in stock?
