ZyberNeo Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Hi. I've finaly got some high performance memory, that runs sweetly on my DFI board. I got 2x512MB Mushkin Special 2-2-2-5 PC3200 and runs them at 250MHz (DDR500) at 3,5v (with a fan to cool them, so they are not to hot) What is the best bios for these memory? i'm now using the 331 Beta bios. Everything in my bios's memsettings are set to AUTO except for the timins i mentioned before (2-2-2-5) but can I tweak it more by editing the other settings instead of having them on auto? what do you think would be MAX volt. to give these memory? red930 Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 You can use BH5 guidelines, look around for ppl using similar setup, try forum search. I was running mine at 3.6v but they started to error in memtest, keep your eye on 'em.
ZyberNeo Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 #3 I'll do. I've just flashed my bios with the 510-2 bios and it seems to work just fine. I've also read that slot 1 & 3 are made for hi voltage mem, so i'll try switching banks and see if i can achieve a higher clock. ZyberNeo Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 It's driving me crazy! I can't get my cpu over 2700MHz at 1,400v x 123% it runs about 3-5 hours stable prime, then i get a hardware failure message. Then if i set the volt to 1425v x 123% it restarts after some time. i'm using Mach II so it ain't because its to hot. But it irritates me that when I used some cheap aircooling it ran at 2600MHz at about 1,6v What's wrong with my setup?
