NF4 Ultra-D doesn't recognise SATA drives

Recommended Posts

I've got 2 new Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 9 SATA drives that if I connect to my Ultra-D cause boot-up to be really slow and never get to WinXP. They are listed, both individually and seperately, in the boot up screen but if I enter BIOS and try to set them up they are listed but do not set up. Any ideas ?

(edit) when it hangs on detecting the SATA, the drive/s are listed as Maxtor Calypso ??
