chene Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 hi, after installing XP I used the DFI's CD to install nv-related driver. One of which is the IDE driver. However, Nero-6 (came with NEC 3520a) refused to install, and I want to revert back to XP's native IDE driver to see if it makes any difference. However, I can't find out how to un-install nvidia's ide driver. Using the CD will only re-install them again. Any help is very much appreciated,
Poisonsnak Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 XP's driver rollback feature should work. Hold the windows key and push pause/break. Goto hardware tab and device manager button. Under IDE/ATAPI controllers there should be primary channel and secondary channel (ignore those) and something like "nVidia ide controller", double click this. Then go to the driver tab, and pick roll back driver.
cyberfossil Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 going to add or remove programs in your control panel and select nvidia drivers. it will give you a choice of removing all or just a specific driver.
