Freezer26 Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 I have noticed that afeter playing games for no defined length of time, my sound craps out on me, starts to crackel and then after awhile I will get a sysdump.txt error...so I dunno, is the onboard sound good on this mobo, should i just get a soundcard, and if so which one, I want an optical out, not sure if this mobo has an accessory that I can buy for that, but would definately like one on a cound card recomendation?? Chaos Snake Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 I had somethig similar coe up, and I fixed it by installing the sound driver for my wifes motherboard (Gigabyte VAXP). Well I have a bigger than stock heatsink on the southbridge, so I don't think that would be it, plus I have a fan about 2in. from the heatsink and the NV5 Silencer is about 1mm from it, so I would think that it would have some good cooling on it....here is the heatsink and how far away it is from the NV5....ha ha....I love dremels...
