tonychou Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 hi, i am having a big problem with regards to the sound. Right now i have an auxilary input (all in wonder 9600xt) connected to the line in of the onboard sound. And i get this high pitched hum sound from my speakers. whats worst is that when the computer undergoes any activity there would be this static sound on top of the hum noise... Also the noise is relative to the setting in windows mixer, the higher it goes the louder the noise get.. using windows xp sp2 and tried nforce 5.03, 5.10. realtek 3.68....... ati 4.1 ,4.10 ,4.12 and all still produce that sound...... and last... i dun quite know what info to provide so i listed ones i think would be helpfull in my sig. if anything else is needed, i will add it Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
psy^ Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Sounds like an earthing problem? If you can, try different cable to get the AIW audio into the Onboard Sound. If i'm getting what you're describing right, i've experienced the same sound when my stereo cable isn't plugged in all the way.
