Just Over Clocked I Am A Little Confused Tho

So my asus rampage has a option where i can choose other pc processors and over clock it,so i picked the Q9650 WHICH is clocked at 3.0 so now my q9450 is at 3.0

 

but under vista basic info it still shows clocked at 2.6?is that ok?

 

now everest reports this

 

CPU Clock 2999.9 MHz (original: 2667 MHz, overclock: 12%)

 

CPU FSB 375.0 MHz (original: 333 MHz, overclock: 13%)

 

on cpu z it shows it jumping from 2.999.9 to 3.0 ghz,should i be concerned by these issues?

I wouldn't be concerned at all. Vista has a habit of showing the stock speeds when overclocked. I've heard there is some way to remedy this, but can't remember right now.

Ok because bios shows it

 

start up shows it

 

cpu z and everest shows it

 

vista don't tho

Updated FIX THE ISSUE DUMB ME DID NOT TURN OF SPEED STEP OR W.E IT WAS IN BIOS

Speed step, will just drop your multiplier to 6x while your computer is idle to save energy.

 

Just rely on CPU-Z for what your CPU is running at (it will move up and down a bit like 2.9999 -> 3.00ghz)
