Plythus Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Hi guys.... I built a system with the following components and wanna get some tips on how and what would be the best(and safest) overclocking i can do on them... cirro Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 (edited) imo if you want to overclock your amd dual core, you might want to grab the black edition.. none of my reg. x64, or x2's dont have really any headroom for oc'ing (black edition = unlocked) compared to intels c2d, plus my 6000+ with stock voltages got really hot really quick.. kingdingeling Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 That should be overclockable without a problem Could you post a link to the RAM?

Plythus Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 And another problem i have is that i am having problems trying to OC my GVA... Im trying to OC the GC with ATI Tools but every time i click on one of the options, the system just hangs... Anyone out there with this problem have any suggestions? Thanks
cirro Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 kingdingaling. easily overclockable but it wont go over 3.4 with stock and i bet that wont be 100% stable without a premium heatsink and even then i bet his temps would be 70's for that chip . i love the chip at near stock speeds plythus what kind of cooling are you using.. put the HT above 250mhz and hit a wall of problems
Plythus Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 well im using the standard stock cooling and i dont seem to be running into any heat problems 'yet'. Im currently system clocked at 3304 Mhz And any tips on how i can OC my RAM too? And i fixed the problem with my ATI tools.. thanks
