kingdingeling Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Increase the FSB and increase the CPU voltage? Have you tested for stability at that current speed?
vandaLo Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 right now i have my amd 5000+ @ 2.8 (255x11) what's better 255x11 or 215x13 wich both give me 2.8Ghz Peace.
kingdingeling Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 That's really only a marginal difference, I believe higher FSBs are better, but just go either way. Have you tested for stability?

Yeah, good stability, what else can i do so i can keep up the oc? what about other options?
Waco Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 what about other options? I'm not sure what you're asking for. You know how to get the frequency up (crank the FSB). You obviously know how to keep your RAM in spec if you got 255 FSB working stable. Vcore is the only real thing left to toy with if it's your CPU maxing out, in which case you want to stay under 1.5 volts and watch the temps. Verran Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Hello, i wonder if there's any way to unblock the amd 5000+ multiplier? greets AMD sells certain chips as unlocked (called Black Editions). If it's not one of those, you simply can't unlock it. What are you using to test your OC stability?

Verran Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Games...COD4, if it reboots then oc is bad You should really think about using a real stability test like Prime95 or OCCT. Using games to test stability is very inaccurate. Also, what made you stop where you did on the OC. Do games crash at higher settings?
