cirro Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 does anyone own a evga/xfx 780i any either (a) have stablity problems above 1600qdr or (b) a0 post codes? (b) at first i thought it was the voltage i was running to it earlier (the wont boot post) but i noticed if i run my cpu between around 1666-1740qdr i get no boot, wheres the hole going, but if i stay around that, even at insane volts it will at least post and can warmboot read somewhere to disable ps2 mouse interface (ironically i cant seem to find that on my board..) but i doubt thats the cause a p05 bios maybe? hopefully..?? hardnrg Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I'd say you need at least 1.55v on the SPP(NB) and MCP(SB), so what are you running? some boards need a LOT of NB voltage to run higher FSBs... not every NB chip is the same, on one 680i board I needed 1.74v, another ~1.6... now 1.
ccokeman Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 There is a wonderful hole in that range on quite a few boards. Nb volts to 1.6 and HTT volts to 1.7v got me stable at 1800. NB is actively cooled
