:edit: oh and this includes restart from OS, but works fine one i manually use my power switch

should i try vdroop mod?

I assume the 780i vdroop mod is identical to that of the 680i...

For me, the mod reduces vDrop and eliminates vDroop

vDrop = selected vCore - reported/measured idle voltage

vDroop = load vCore - idle vCore

I have 1.5625v selected in BIOS atm,

with CPU-Z it reads 1.552v idle and load

I did the mod live, at 1.4v, with a 4B pencil, then confirmed vDroop = 0 when vCore = 1.5V, then taped it over...

It's very easy to overdo this mod with a 4B... I tried a HB on another board and it took forever lol... a 2B is probably best

Also, don't blame me if you mess up the mod and kill your mobo... but it did help me with speeds > 3.6 GHz that I couldn't get stable sans-mod
