be aware of FSB holes

what does it say on the NB fan box?

my NB gets to about 55-65 *WITH* the fan, more if I give it high volts...

anyway, FSB holes are your worst enemy... just keep trying higher even if it's unstable... weird, but that's the 680i for ya... like try ~1740+

I'm nice and stable from 1800-1825 :)

high FSB needs more NB volts, more heat, need fan

Hmmmm,

I tried putting the fan on, and it is so loud.

I would rather run stock than have that on 24/7

I am not looking for a Bench High, I am looking for 24/7 clocks.

Also, which voltage refers to the NB? I dont have NB in the Voltages section :(

I am worried that I cant seem to get even 1600 stable 100% with 1.5125 volts (droops to 1.48) because of temps. IF I take it up to 1740 + surely there will be even more trouble with temps.

Ok I am not sure what an E6850 should be running @ stock.

I have reset everything to "Auto" in the BIOS, and the voltage on the chip is at 1.40... is that right? I swear it was much lower, like 1.285 or something

Anyways, at all stock I ran 9 hours of OCCT and the temps went to 58 - 66 Degress. That seems awful high considering my Cooler (Thermalright Si-128 with Antec Tri Cool fan +AS 5)

Air flow in my case is very good, with direct draw of cold air from the side panel.

Am I just unlocky? Or is my setup far from optimal?

Thanks for reading!

SPP = NB

lap the SI-128

FSB increase has negligible effect on temps

you can set the fan speed of the NB fan in the Fan Control section (fixed, or temperature dependent)
