HDD cooling?

I'm looking for a good hard drive case that cools your HD and fits in your drive by. I've only seen 2 and they didnt look to great.... any ideas?

As long as the keep the drive either spinning constantly or never spin it down it really doesn't matter much how hot the drives get within reason. Google posted up their study a while ago (don't have the link ATM) but as long as the temps are reasonable and you don't subject them to constant temperature swings they'll last a very long time (the report showed that over-cooled drives tended to fail earlier too).

A simple 80mm fan blowing across the harddrive is all you need. I have a Chieftec DX-01B case, thish has a removable HDD bay, which has a 80mm fan slot in it, so my drives stay around 32-35

sounds good... Where can i get something to at least tell me the temp of the HD? I think its called a probe?

Most modern hard drives have a probe built in. A program called speedfan can probably read the temps, if not their are others.

Either speedfan, or everest will tell you that.
