kirky_D Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Hello there. I am using vista ultimate and a dfi lanparty ultra-d (i think) motherboard with a san-diego 3700. the drivers for the audio device were automatically installed the first time i updated windows. Problem is is that after say 15 minutes of listening to audio it starts crackling and getting distorted. I have tried another driver that was meant for beta 2 but it has the exact same problem. Anybody know what it is? cheers
WhenKittensATK Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 What kind of sound card are you using. Sometimes Vista doesn't download the lastest possible drivers, which I have found out. You may want to check your sound card manufacture's website for the lastest version.

WhenKittensATK Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Make sure you delete the current sound driver with DH Driver Cleaner or something similar of that nature, because Vista doesn't show drivers in Uninstall programs anymore. It seems that I have sorted. I just tried using a different driver from the realtek website and going into device manager and updating the driver. cheers!
