hardnrg Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 then post something useful to help me out find out the limits and the effects of every single setting in the bios that changes a timing, speed, voltage, or speed ratio... do this by oc guides and threads on the motherboard/chipset and cpu... then devise a methodical set of oc tests running a subset of combinations gathered from initial limit testing and optimum value finding... basically a combination of research and blind experimentation... the usual... i'd say you've overlooked some of the settings on the motherboard that may be holding you back, or some of the settings you have at the moment could be changed for the better (aside from voltages and bus speed)
Tallman Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 To OC, it is recommended to disable spread spectrum. As far as Enhanced Power Slope, turn it on. It helps to keep your processor supplied with a constant supply of power at full load ( It REALLY helps on Asus boeards with all the vdroop they have) A lot of people are having a hard time clocking these quads as they generate a lot of heat fast.
