kingdingeling Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 DICE = Dry Ice therefore, a DICE Tube is a copper tube you mount on your CPU to run on D-ICE cooling
gotdamojo06 Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 that would be intresting, how would you keep a constant supply of D-ICE? doesnt it evaporate after a while? You just have to go in and add a block of it to your resoviour (spelling) right Couldnt you do that with a liquid cooling setup....use an isopropyl and dry ice...that would be cool...litteraly
Nerm Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 A DICE setup isn't for 24/7 use. Basically it is a copper tube mounted to the cpu or gpu and has a hole on the top so that you can pour in cubs of dry ice and as pure alcohol a liquid as possible such as acetone or ethanol as needed. The idea of an auto dice setup is more of a liquid cooling/dice combination that isn't very practical but is a little more 24/7 friendly than the traditional dice cooling setup. Here is a link to a Dry Ice cooling intro guide I wrote a while back. http://benchaddix.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=
swifty11212 Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 How long will it take for you to get it back up and running? I also can't seem to recall pics of your rig, post em if you can of during the incident and after if you can.
