gotdamojo06 Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 open her up and try to find out where the sound is coming from, i know its a bi7ch to bit it back together but if its that annoying, it might be worth it...just remember where everything goes took me about 10 min to take mine apart (so many screws) and then took me like 25 to put back together... SMeeD Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 It's possible that it's electronic. I know my video card makes a squeeky buzzing noise once in a while. The electrical coils (the name escapes me) have been known to make a squeal sound. If it turns out to be a coil, Ive heard a small amount of glue or tape will keep the coil from vibrating. gotdamojo06 Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 if it is an inductor coil... you can tape or glue them to reduce/eliminate the noise:http://www.techreport.com/forums/viewtopic...50e4440b8612b5f The full topic can be found at this link... http://forums.overclockersclub.com/lofiver...php/t67699.html There should still be a file attached that you can hear what the sound in question is...if that matches what you hear, then chances are that that is what your problem is... oldfett Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Well I got her working right today! It was the video drivers. The drivers had the screen refresh rate at some crazy number, reinstalled the drivers and it works great! One very odd problem in my book.
