2 Computers 1 Wireless Adapter

it would almost be cheaper to buy a new adapter for the computers than to buy a dang wire...which makes no sence to me...

also would there be a way to get something that will pick up the signal, and then have lets say 5 cords coming out of the device and plug into a computer to get the internet?

Just make a USB splitter and plug the adapter into both computers at once! Granted if it's a PCI card this may be slightly harder (but never impossible) to do...

IMO the network sharing is a really easy way to do...and if you're in the US, you should be able to pick up a crossover adapter (need 2 ethernet cables) for about $1-2.

you can't share a usb device on two computers at the same time... you could have it on a switching hub, but the computers wouldn't have simultaneous access to the wireless adapter

so buying a crossover adapter is just like a phone cord extender thing?

cable 1 -----[adapter]------cable 2

sounds like it would be easy...i have tons of regular ethernet cables from my old computer class, my teacher was just giving some of the older things she didnt need away
