Se7en Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 I'm building a new comp with a Athlon XP 2700+ and a Asus A7N8X mobo and a 9700pro When i turn on the comp and it goes to the post screen it says my floppy test failed and I have a thlon XP 1500+ ?!?! I tried to change the FSB to 166 and the multiplyer to 13, but when i save, restart, and go back to the post screen it says: "WARNING! CPU Have Over Speed!" I tried to ignore that and Put in my XP bootable cd.... and before it started it said some file was corrupted. So i guess it's the cd...i'm getting another one. But can somebody please give me some ideas on what to do as far as bios settings ? Thx for your time!
Sloth Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 The same thing happend to me with the floppy, just take it out for now, then replace it with a new one (that worked for me) also when i first booted the fsb was set to 100, so i just changed it to 133 and didnt touch the mulipliers and it worked.
