In my sig is my current setup. I'm looking to replace my weak MX440 GF4 with something that won't break the bank either. I'm not partial to either ATI or Nvidia so let the suggestions fly.

well it depends on how much money you are willing to spend on it.

if you want somthing good-price quality: GF4 ti 4200 8x or the ti 4600

if you want something extreme, or very good: ati 9700 pro , or the ti 4800

or wait for the new cards :)

go with ATI Radeon 9500 pro (RV300 chipset) or wait for the 9600 pro (RV350 chipset)

there are gig differences among all those cards.. like

Core Clock(9500 pro is 275Mhz)

Memory Clock (9500 pro is 270Mhz (540Mhz DDr))

Process Technology (9500 pro is 0.15micron)

etc.

Well, thanks for the help everyone. I think I'm gonna go with a ti4200 because I can get it (an Asus one with 128megs) for $230 cdn and the cheapest price 9500pro is around $290 cdn. What type of 3DMarks does everyone with a ti4200 usually get?

I picked up an MSI ti4200 128 meg card. This thing is sweet. I got it cheap so I'm not complaining. Ran 3DMark2001 SE with my setup. I'm getting 12275 with no overclocking on the card. Can't wait til I've got it worked in, then I'll tweak it a bit.
