Need Help With Phpbb

Alright, so I installed phpBB on my new website. Unfortunately, phpBB is being a sucky POS. I have a 4% success rate of getting in to the admin CP. If I try to log in, I can only log in when I choose "Auto-Login". Then if I hit "Administrative Panel", it asks for the re-authentication. Fair enough, I enter my info and hit Enter. But then it asks me to log in, and once again I can only log in if I select AutoLogin. I've looked around on the phpBB Support forums and found this mod called Auto Cookies, but that was no help. I'd ask on their support forums but their forums kind of suck. It is hard to register an account there when the forums think the confirmation code was incorrect even though it was the exact same thing as in the image. Oh well.

You shouldn't need a mod for cookies to work, have you checked your cookies settings under "configuration"? Tried another browser? When I go to my forum I just click on it in my favorites and I go straight to the main page, logged in as administrator. You shouldn't need to re-login to go to the admin panel.

 

You could try to join your forum with another username, then login as admin and give admin privileges to your new name, see if it works better.

Well, it isn't really a mod, more of a thing that sets up the cookie settings without needing to be in the admin thing. I just did a total reinstall and it still doesn't work.

 

I think it might have to do with session ID's... not to mention that it seems like a huge security hole to have them in the URL. I remember on some other forum system, they had that. One mod accidentally posted a link with his session ID, and some malicious person decided to suspend a bunch of people from the forums.
