caffeinejunkie Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Im repairing this old laptop as a favor for a friend and when I started up it gave me 2 errors 00301 and 08611 After some quick research I find that 301 is a keyboard error (just had to go in and connect some ribbon cable) and 8611 is a System Bus Error After using the bios self test it said everything was ok so I figure that the cmos battery is dead What is your guys oppinion? The battery isnt your average watch battery and after checking around it will cost like 20 dollars to get it I just dont want to waste 20 bucks of these peoples money if it's already trash So any oppinons would be great Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
