OptikaliLLusion Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Recently, my Logitech MX1000 has been acting odd. The mouse pointer will freeze then bounce to the opposite direction of where the mouse is moving. I might press the left button and the system thinks I am still pressing it (very annoying in BF2). Battery says it is a 2 out of 3 bars, don't have anything new inbetween the receiver and mouse, same old mousepad. What's wrong with this thing? This only started about 3 days ago. TimeMachine Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 WellI have a mx1000 myself, if you have a tv or anything around it it might be causing the problems because the signals are being interrupted so the best bet is to turn off your tv or other devices when your playing

cchalogamer Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 while the signal is 99% likely to be the cause, it could be broke, but seriously, turn everythign around but your PC off (including wireless routers and cordless phones) and see if it still does it. d3bruts1d Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 It's a common problem with the MX1000. One of the many problems I have posted about here when people ask about this mouse.
Hyper Threaded Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I too think it's the signal. My MX1000 never has any problems with the signal, and I've got it down on the keyboard tray with a speaker and the controller for that in front of the base. Just try clearing an area on the desk to allow a good signal between the mouse and base. If that doesn't work, you might want to send it in to Logitech. BTW, you might want to work on your grammar, spelling, and punctuation, TimeMachine, it's a bit dodgy.
LoArmistead Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I haven't had any problems with my MX1000 as far as signal goes. Though if there is a problem...it's probably your signal being blocked somehow. It's a great mouse, and something needs to be said for a company that is willing to back their product for three years. If the problem persists, I'm sure Logitech will replace it.
OptikaliLLusion Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I love Logitech and am not knocking the mouse, I love it dearly. But thing is I don't think it is the signal because the receiver is where it has always been with no new items in my room that would emit signals.
