slow-as Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 hi everyone , not sure if this can be done. i encrypted one of my partition that has my photos and personal stuff and all was good until i re-insta without backing up my certificates and now i cant access or remove the files because of the encryption. What can i do.??? i have tried to change my access to become a data recovery agent , but my local computer(pc) wont let me. can i do anything about this? thanks for your help... LobbDogg Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 If they are encrypted then good luck. depending on the encryption method, it looks like it uses a shared key, and if you don't have the other key, then your only option is to use a program to try and break the encryption. So at this point I'd almost pretty much give up. Because if you even have a program to crack the encryption, it could take a very long time.
