Sheepy Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Hi. Ive just started overclocking, an im doing ok so far. Only thing that is pickling my head at the moment is the fans. My questions are Do I need fans blowing air in to tower?? Do I need fans blowing air out of the tower?? Which one of these keeps the temperature down the most??? Cheers Sheepy
UkJenT Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 (edited) I'd say that you use a combination of both blowing in air and blowing out. You if applicable, should use the front and rear fans to blow in and the back and top fan to blow out. That should help w/ decreasing temperature. Plus, you will reduce the amount of dust that stays on your rig. Edited March 28, 2005 by UkJenT

UkJenT Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 (edited) I'm editing the setup I provided you. I made a mistake. Use the front and side fan(s) to blow in air and the rear and top one(s) to blow air out. Edited March 28, 2005 by UkJenT
E Fudd Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Try getting a remote temp. gauge that you can place in the case at different spots and start testing - they have them at the hardware store for around 15 bucks.
