Windows 2003 Server

Here at work we have a server with Windows 2003 Server installed and when it was setup it was setup as a Domain Controller. I need to switch it from a Domain Controller to just a regular File Server. Does anyone know how to do this without just formatting and reloading the system?

EDIT: Sorry mods! connection problem tricked me into creating multiple threads. Please remove the two clone threads.

That is what I am afraid of. I know I can change it by format and reloading Windows 2003 Server, but I am trying to find out how to do it without having to format and reload.

it is an active DC or just one in a test environment?

if it is active and has rolls on it the rest of the domain will crash.

if it is just a test server then a dcpromo will take it back to a member server then you can take it up to a file server.
