Stripe Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 I'm solidly considering getting a 2500-M in the next week or two... all i can get with my 2800+ is about 2.3 at 1.950V (therefore, crud in a bucket). Is the 2500 the prime ocing chip, or are the higher stock chips (2600, 2800) better?
robAP Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 12x205 right now....noise limited. was at 12x210 but at full load the volcano 12+ was starting to get annoying. (you dont know how loud it is till you turn the thing off and the silence is overwhelming...and nice for once) but once i lap the sink ill be able to go 12x210 permanently but i anticipate 208x12.5 as my absolute peak. and thats gonna be voltage limited there at 1.825. (i needed .075 incerease to go from 205 to 210 fsb speeds on the same multi.)

0kibi Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 (edited) A fairly minor overclock for now. Just fiddling with the multiplier, as my aging motherboard lacks an AGP/PCI lock. Doing 23*C idle. I'll probably bump it up to a 12.5 or higher multi and see where it goes. Edit: Allright, I've got it sitting at 3200+ (2200mhz) doing 27*C idle. ^_^ Edited January 12, 2005 by 0kibi
