Silverfox Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 Could be anything really. Does the machine beep at you? (If the light never goes off, it could be the HDD, MOBO, etc....)
CNUco2007 Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 i have to second the powersupply thought. if it doesnt do nething at all, it sounds like its not even getting power
Silverfox Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 HDD light never goes off? Sounds like some power there IMO, but it could well be faulty still.
turkish Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 thats not nearly enough info, was it like this all the time? did you do any hardware changes that made this happen? or did this just happen out of teh blue? try swapping components if you can and powering up after each swap... daniel Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 well when i power up the PC all the fans go on.... But the screen goes immeately to saving mode.... And the HDD led... always stays on.... Silverfox Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 hmm.... Â .....sounds more towards the MOBO/PSU Â unplug all devices (IDE/SATA) and see if it beeps then. any piece of hardware could stop it posting if it is faulty

lilkev715 Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 It sounds like either your mobo or video card, but I am leaning more towards your mobo. It sounds like to me that your mobo is freezing just before the posting screen comes up, aka the "cold boot" syndrome.
