what can i do with a 5mm LED?

i just bought a blue 5mm LED at radio shack today. its just a bulb thing with 2 wires stickin out. i bought mounts for it too. but problem is..i dont know what to do with it...i dont know how to put it in my computer case, if i can, i wanna change by power indicator light. will i have to solder anything or whatever? what else can i do?

you can do a lot's of things with that bastard

1) put it onto your pc...looks fine but no use

2) put it inside your pc...no use here but will definitly make some people thing

3) stuck it into your disk-drive ... ok better don't

4) solder your old led out (rip it out of your frontpannel first) and exchange it with the new (soldering again)...maybe you've got to widen the hole for the led...use a slow iron-drill

Why did you buy this if you didn't know what it is?  Did it look pretty?  Replace another 5mm led with the one you got.  Don't know how to do this?  Learn or stop buying them!
