gravy Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 i had a friend give me two hard drives, one is a maxtor 4Gb and the other is a samsung 8.4 Gb i unhook my slave drive and hook up either one and neither will allow my system to boot up, it posts and sees the drive and the correct number of sectors, etc...but never allows it to load windows........what gives? yet i hook up my original slave drive and it works fine fyi i found the problem with the samsung, it had one bent pin on the ide connection, apparrently the other hdd is crap, thanks for all the suggestions Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
